We’re seeing firsthand the growing challenges school districts face as they navigate declining enrollment and changing community needs. Even as Texas continues to grow, many districts are struggling to effectively engage families and connect eligible students to enrollment opportunities.
This is why trusted, community-centered outreach matters more than ever. Districts cannot afford to assume families have the information or support they need to enroll.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) and SPEDTex now offer a free, voluntary support option to help families and schools resolve special education concerns early, before they escalate. This process, called Early Resolution (ER), provides a trained facilitator to guide a productive conversation, build relationships, and help develop mutually acceptable solutions, all while preserving positive relationships.
