We are deeply saddened by the passing of our Executive Vice Chairman Bennett Glazer on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Bennett was a visionary leader whose passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment helped shape our company into the organization it is today. He had the foresight and championed the transformational combination of Glazer’s with Southern Wine, which a decade ago brought together our two families to create what is now Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. His legacy will endure through the generations of leadership he helped inspire, including members of the Glazer family who continue to play an important role in our business.

Bennett is survived by his wife, Marion, his daughter, Paige, and his son, Sam Glazer, a valued next-generation leader of our Southern Glazer’s team.

In addition to the lasting impact Bennett made on our company and our culture, he was a respected voice in the industry and a generous supporter of the communities we serve.

On behalf of our entire organization, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Glazer family and all who knew and loved him.

After negotiating the skating rink coming home tonight, I’ve decided to give mother nature some time to help us out in the morning and melt that top layer a touch.

Both locations will open at noon to serve you delicious burgers.

Sunday morning report. I got out and drove it. Combining the factors of driving skill, vehicle capability, football on TV, and actual need, we think most people should, and will stay home today. Therefore, we will not be open today.

If you’ve ever loved your Sewell Motors experience, and chances are really good that you have, this guy was at least partially responsible. Joe Stallard sold me the first new pickup I ever bought. He’s in the big office now.

Someone needs to invent a phone that you can put to your ear so you can keep the conversation between you and the person on the other end of the conversation. 

A device that fits in your ear so only you hear the video you’re watching would be nice too.

Business is a booming at the northern outpost and I need a couple of good people.

I need a full time food runner/cashier type for the front of the house.

I also need an experienced cook.
