A study has identified over 70 modern-day lynchings across seven states: Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Inspired by Ida B. Wells’ historic “A Red Record,” which documented lynchings in the 19th century, Julian’s “Crimson Record” offers an in-depth analysis of modern-day lynchings from 2000 to 2025.
Challenging reports that the last lynching in the US took place in 1981, the civil rights organization’s analysis “reveals recurring patterns of violence, systemic neglect, and law enforcement misconduct that echo the racial terror of earlier eras.”

Brace yourself for this wild family scoop. The Dibaba sisters from Ethiopia are not just running—they are rewriting history. Tirunesh, Genzebe, Ejegayehu, Anna, and Melat are the sisters who turned their gene pool and power grind into an unstoppable force, bagging a mind-blowing haul of Olympic and World titles. No other family on earth, repeat, no one, can say they have five women running this fast and leaving the world gasping for breath.
Born under the inspiration of their trailblazing cousin Derartu Tulu, the Dibaba sisters sprinted from humble beginnings to legendary status. This is no ordinary running squad. These five have destroyed the record books, winning 4 Olympic golds, collecting 2 silvers, grabbing 3 bronzes, and absolutely owning 15 World Championship titles. They have bonded over brutal training, relentless ambition, and pure sisterhood energy.
This isn’t just about medals. It's about transforming pressure into power and breaking barriers for every young dreamer. The Dibaba dynasty is not just the fastest family, these queens are living proof that greatness can run in the blood. The world is watching, in awe, and totally obsessed.

February 1, 1960 marked a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement. At 4:30 p.m., four African American college freshmen quietly sat down at a segregated Woolworth’s lunch counter at 132 South Elm Street in Greensboro, North Carolina—and in doing so, ignited a movement that would reshape the nation.
The students—Joseph McNeil, Franklin McCain, Ezell Blair Jr. (later known as Jibreel Khazan), and David Richmond—were freshmen at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Later known as the A&T Four or the Greensboro Four, they entered the Woolworth’s store and first purchased everyday items like toothpaste at a desegregated sales counter without any issue. But when they sat at the store’s “whites-only” lunch counter, they were refused service.
Following store policy, the lunch counter staff declined to serve the young men, and the store manager, Clarence Harris, asked them to leave. The students refused. Calm, disciplined, and determined, they remained seated until the store closed that evening. There were no raised voices, no violence—just a quiet act of resistance that spoke volumes.
What began as four students taking a seat quickly grew into a nationwide sit-in movement, as students across the South followed their example, challenging segregation in public spaces through nonviolent protest. Their courage exposed the everyday absurdity and injustice of Jim Crow laws and proved that collective action—no matter how simple it appears—can force a nation to confront itself.
The Greensboro sit-ins became a catalyst for change, accelerating the desegregation of lunch counters and strengthening the broader fight for civil rights. Four young men, armed with nothing but dignity and resolve, helped move America one step closer to justice.
