Y Chibi Bio
At only 16 years old, up and coming Dallas rapper Y Chibi is already starting to make some noise. As the son of a single mom, Y Chibi, born Chibi Okpara, was forced to grow up fast. After witnessing the loss of many friends to street life, music became a crucial and necessary outlet for Y Chibi, allowing him to express his pain and struggles, and manifests itself as a scrapbook of his life, providing insight into past experiences and interactions.
After catching the ear of producer Fresh Ayr, the pair quickly got into the studio producing songs such as debut singles “Two Face” and “Easy to Die”, released October 2020. Y Chibi is admittedly vulnerable with his audience – his music is honest, raw, mature and created with the intention to profoundly impact his listeners.
