Today we honor **Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.** and the enduring values he stood for—justice, equality, courage, and love in action.

Dr. King believed deeply in *hope*: hope that communities could come together, hope that fairness could overcome fear, and hope that future generations would carry the work forward. On this **MLK Day, January 19, 2026**, I’m reminded that his dream is not just history—it’s a responsibility.

I see that hope alive today in young people. In their voices, their activism, their compassion, and their refusal to accept injustice as “just the way things are.” They are asking better questions, demanding progress, and reminding us that real change is possible when we choose empathy over indifference.

May we honor Dr. King not only with words, but with action—by listening, serving, and standing up for one another. His dream lives on through the hope we nurture and the example we set.
