Check out this 10,000 sqft building we insulated in Kennedale Tx. We used open cell foam on this metal building and because the foam was going to be exposed we also installed a coat of thermal barrier. This took us about 3 days to complete but it was awesome to do.

If you have any questions about Spray Foam or any type of insulation please feel to reach out at any time.

Here is a shop we insulated in McKinney Tx with Closed Cell Spray Foam. We installed 2 inches to keep this metal building to its desired temperature.

Metal Buildings should always be insulated with Closed Cell Spray Foam. Metal buildings are put together by panels and screw. Considering these things, if the panels and screws are not sealed properly water issues may arise. When you use Closed Cell it will seal any openings, holes and cracks to prevent water infiltration. Closed is a water resistant/proof product with the best R-Value per inch.

If you have a metal building that you want to get insulated, feel free to reach out to us for a free quote.

I didn't take many pictures here but this is a fully gutted house we did in Dallas. The house was in a bad fire so they decided to upgrade what they had.

We installed Open Cell Spray Foam here. Considering the low roof pitch it was his best option to go this route. The customer will never have to worry about his insulation for the life time of the home.

If you have any interest in spray foaming your attic, give us a call and we can schedule a job walk to get the proper measurement so we can provide you with an accurate quote.

Here is a Barndominium we Insulated a few weeks ago. Since it was a metal building we recommended Closed Cell Spray Foam.

Closed Cell is the best type of spray foam product you can use. The benefits are better than any other Insulation product on the market.

Closed Cell Benefits:
1. Air Barrier
2.. Moister Barrier (Water Resistant/proof)
3. R-Value of 7 per Inch
4. Gives Building Structural Strength

If you have any questions about Closed Cell Spray foam or other Insulation products feel free to reach out to us so we can give you our best recommendation along with a quote.

Here is an attic we completely re-did. This house was built in 1982 so we already knew the attic would be in rough shape.

The customer was suffering from cooling and heating issues along with rodent issues. These are common issues in houses this old so it isn't uncommon for us to deal with these things. The customer was satisficed with the results and got a call a few days later about the house holding the desired temperature well.

Job Specifications:
1. Old Insulation Removal
2. Air Sealing Process
3. Ventilation Check
4. Re-Insulate with Blown-In Fiberglass (R-38)

If you have questions or concerns for your attic, feel free to contact us directly at (972) 765-9154 or email us at [email protected]

Here is an Attic in Dallas we just finished. At the initial inspection the customer had previous rodent problems so she wanted here attic cleaned out and sanitized so that is exactly what we did.

The old Insulation was Cellulose which is basically torn up newspaper, so it's not the best application if you just blow it in. We were able to clean it out very well, sanitize, air seal, and get her the popper insulation with the proper R-Value to keep her house from having further issues.

If you have any questions or are facing the same issues please don't hesitate to give us a call.

So the customer had called because they had a water pipe bust in the garage ceiling. There was a room above the garage so there was batt Insulation there which we took down and disposed of. The clients were engineers so they had done their research before hand and already knew what kind of product they wanted.

The product they wanted was Closed Cell Spray Foam. Now, Closed Cell is not a common application to do on a cold floor but it is the best type of Insulation product you could use. The product is expensive but the benefits are worth it. Closed Cell is water proof/water resistant so I understood why they wanted it applied instead of Open Cell which is not water proof/resistant.

Here are the before and after pictures. The final finish was 3" of closed cell spray foam.

I got a call from a builder buddy of mine late last week. He said a homeowner of his was having issues in their attic. The problem was that condensation was building on the AC Unit.

He needed this looked at ASAP so we checked it out the next day. We shot some thermal images to see where heat was penetrating through the attic. Keep in mind that this was a full encapsulation done by a company a few years back.

Long story short, we found a TON of areas where heat was getting through the foam. This is due to an improper install from the get go. This is why it is important to find a GOOD foam contractor to do your work.

We were happy to help this homeowner out. This was a beautiful home in Fairview Tx. She spent her hard earned money to build this home so the least we can do is give her what she paid for.

If you have any questions on spray foam please feel free to give us a call. Alpha Insulation LLC is ALWAYS here to help with any Insulation needs.

I was able to get out of the office and get this job done for a customer who was having moisture and thermal issues in his pool room. He originally wanted to make holes in the walls to install a blown-In product but since he was covering the cedar walls with sheetrock I recommended we take down the walls and spray foam them with a Closed Cell product to prevent moisture issues in the long run. It turned out great and he was happy with the results!

Check out the pics below to see how the project turned out.

Air Sealing-

Air leakage is one of the most common issue for a discomforting home. Air can get in from your attic a lot of different ways. If you have a fiberglass home then you most likely have soffit areas which are areas at the edge of your home that provide air flow to your attic, because if these areas air is constantly flowing in your attic and if you don't seal the proper areas then you can be losing conditioned air from inside your home and also bringing unwanted unconditioned air from your attic into your home.

What is the result of this issue?
Well your A/C unit has to use more energy to keep the unwanted air out and keep your home at your desired temperature. This results in high electric bills. In other words, wasted money.

How do you stop air leakage?
Call the specialists and let them handle this issue. This process requires us to go in the attic and seal EVERY possible leakage area. From interior top plates, missed electrical wires/boxes to A/C registers.

Why is it important to get your old insulation removed and replaced?
Here's a few things to consider:

1. When should you replace your attic insulation? - Standard Fiberglass, Cellulose, Rockwool insulation starts to degrade after about 15 years. If you have an older home, chances are the attic insulation is the not the same insulation from when it was first installed.

2. What are symptoms of "Bad" insulation?- If your A/C Unit is running too often and your house isn't getting to your desired temperature it is because most likely you have a leaky house. In other words your insulation isn't doing its job and have areas where air in the attic can go into the house causing unwanted air to infuriate your home.

3. Things to look for in your attic- Depending on your area city codes may very but if your attic insulation is 10 inches or lower then you do not have enough insulation to keep outside weather out. The type of insulation used also varies on how much R-Value is need to be efficient. Animal Droppings can also be a sign that your attic insulation is old and needs to be replaced.

We hope these things help you make a good assessment of your attic. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions and or would like to schedule a free inspection!
