Happy Fryday🥂❤️!! We made it !! You may have asked yourself why do people eat fish on Friday traditionally.. Welp It turns out that because, according to Christian teaching, Jesus died on a Friday, fasting on Fridays became a way to honor his sacrifice. However, this type of fasting didn’t mean not eating anything (unlike trendy modern-day fasts). It simply meant abstaining from eating the flesh of warm-blooded animals—since the thinking goes, Jesus was a warm-blooded animal. Fish, though, which are cold blooded were considered okay to eat on fasting days. Hence, Fish on Fridays and “Fish Friday” (among many other religious holidays) was born. Religious or not I think we can all agree the fried fish is absolutely delicious 😋 and meant to be eaten any time the spirit hits ya! Courtney’s culinary journey began early on, inspired by her Memphian Southern family and their love and respect for quality and tradition. Hospitable as she is talented, Chef Co Co is eager to share her passion for culinary craft, unique cocktails and flair for design with each client she meets. After, a long career in internet marketing and sales Courtney grew bored with her professional career and started to design food events for friends and colleagues and as a result she was contacted by a casting director for MasterChef 8 while she progressed quickly in the competition she was eventually eliminated after being in the bottom two. After MasterChef, Courtney continued her path through the eye of food by being a Private Chef offering private dining experiences, cookery classes and pop up dining events for Dallas locals.
