📚✏️ Anne Frank Elementary 2026–2027 School Supply Lists ✏️📚

Dear Anne Frank Families,

The 2026–2027 school supply lists for each grade level are now available!

Please remember that these lists reflect the supplies students need to begin the school year successfully. Throughout the year, many supplies are used regularly and will need to be replenished to ensure students continue to have the materials they need for learning.

We encourage families to plan and expect to restock supplies:
✅ In November
✅ Again, in February, to finish the school year strong

Items such as pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, notebook paper, and notebooks are often used up and will need to be replaced during the year.

Thank you for helping our scholars come prepared and ready to learn. Your support makes a tremendous difference in their academic success!

Please see the attached supply list for your child's grade level.

Summer learning in Dallas ISD is anything but boring, with programs designed to engage students at every level.

During Summer Breeze, students will have two months to experience a mix of academic support and enrichment through the district’s free summer programming. From connecting with peers to tackling rigorous coursework, students can accelerate learning while also supporting their social and emotional well-being.

This year, a show-themed approach is taking center stage in Dallas ISD’s Summer Cool program, where the district’s youngest students will take part in a full day of reading, math, and enrichment activities.

Meanwhile, high school students will have the opportunity to participate in extended learning, including credit recovery acceleration to get ahead, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, or TSI.

P-TECH and early college programs will also offer summer camps designed to prepare middle school students for the early college high school experience.

Students can also explore a variety of opportunities including cultural camps, drill team, art, dance, theatre, choir, and science activities. Dual language and English as second language camps will feature science discovery, Spanish immersion, language enrichment, and more.

The summer will culminate in a student-led production as the 41st Annual Summer Youth Arts Institute presents “Hallelujah Gospel! The Musical,” performed at the Women’s Museum at Fair Park.

Dallas ISD is bringing summer meals directly to the community with its Summer Food Bus Tour 2026, a mobile initiative designed to ensure children across Dallas have access to free, nutritious meals while school is out.

The program provides no-cost meals for kids 18 and younger, and up to 21 years old for those with disabilities. Meals are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and must be consumed on-site. With its bright red Fork & Axle food bus, the district is making it easier for families to access meals by bringing the service straight into neighborhoods.

Throughout June, the Food Bus Tour will stop at multiple locations across the city:

Tuesday, June 2: Edward Titche Elementary School, 9560 Highfield Dr.
Wednesday, June 3:Charles Rice Learning Center, 2425 Pine St.

Thursday, June 4: David G. Burnet Elementary School, 3200 Kinkaid Dr.

Dear Anne Frank Elementary Scribes,
As the hallways grow quiet and the sun begins to signal the start of summer, we find ourselves reflecting on a truly remarkable school year. Just as our school’s namesake taught us the power of hope and the beauty of a resilient spirit, our students have spent the last ten months showing us exactly what it means to grow, to learn, and to "be kind and have courage."
Celebrating Our Successes
This year was filled with milestones that would have made any community proud. Culture trunks, literacy night, STEAM night, and various campus activities, your children have pushed boundaries and supported one another with empathy.
We saw firsthand that even small actions—a shared book, a helping hand on the playground, or a thoughtful question in class—contribute to the "noble character" Anne Frank wrote about.
Looking Ahead: 2026-2027
While summer is a time for rest and exploration, we are already buzzing with excitement for the upcoming school year. Here is a brief look at what’s on the horizon:
Campus Upgrades: Look forward to a secure vestibule that will ensure campus safety
Key Dates:
Meet the Teacher Night: Thursday, August 6, 2026
First Day of School: Monday, August 11, 2026
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." — Anne Frank
A Heartfelt Thank You
To our parents and guardians: thank you. Your partnership is the heartbeat of this school. Whether you volunteered for a field trip, helped with homework, or simply cheered from the sidelines, you made this year a success.
We wish you a summer filled with laughter, safety, and perhaps a few good books. We can’t wait to see those smiling faces back in our halls this August.
With gratitude,
The Faculty and Administration Anne Frank Elementary School

— Ana Frank
Un Agradecimiento Sincero
A nuestros padres y tutores: gracias.
