Ever since I could hold a baseball in my hand and my mom let me play ball in the house, baseball has been a part of my life. I can still remember throwing a ball around and imagining the day I’d get to play on the biggest stages. The countless hours of practice, balancing school, and the sacrifices my wife, parents, and family made along the way have shaped me into who I am today.

I’ve been incredibly blessed throughout my baseball journey. From winning state championships to attending Ole Miss and achieving the ultimate dream of winning a College World Series—those four years were some of the best of my life. Then, I got to live my childhood dream—being selected in the MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants and playing professional baseball. The road wasn’t always easy. I faced challenges, including back surgery and countless hours of physical therapy to return to the field. But through it all, I cherished every moment.

Baseball has taught me so much about hard work, resilience, and faith. It has given me a platform to share my love for Jesus and connect with so many incredible people. God has blessed me abundantly through this journey—allowing me to make lifelong friends, create unforgettable memories, and grow both on and off the field.

After years of incredible experiences, challenges, and blessings, the time has come for me to step away from the game I love. While baseball will always be a part of me, it’s bittersweet to say goodbye. But I know this isn’t the end—it’s simply the start of a new chapter that the Lord has planned for me. Though I’m stepping away from the field, I’m excited for what’s ahead and the opportunities to make an impact in new ways.

To my wife, parents, and family, thank you for your love, patience, and the sacrifices you made to help me live out my dream. To my teammates, coaches, and everyone who supported me along the way, I wouldn’t be where I am without you. And to the fans—your support, energy, and passion have meant the world to me. Whether it was in high school, at Swayze, or in pro ball, playing in front of you was an honor.

Baseball has given me so much, and I’ll always be grateful. Here’s to the next chapter.
