OG Birth Photography
My favorite love story is a birth story. Servicing Labor, Birth & Bereavement š

2023 was a year for the books! Thank you to every family that allowed me to serve you during one of the most precious moments of your familyās story! You made my 1st year of birth photography amazing! š
Before finding out I was pregnant and eventually miscarrying my baby a few months ago, there was something about Infant Bereavement Photography & Neonatal Immersion Photography (NIP) that I was just drawn to. I joined NILMDTS & I planned to begin offering this service under OG Birth Photography as well, as a gift to families in need but was so busy with attending births that I never got around to it.
Here we are months after my own loss and Iāve healed a little bit ā This past week I had the opportunity to serve a family during their time of grief and as tough as it was to witness such an intense loss, there was also a feeling of fulfillment in being able to offer my support to them in this way.
I have added āSpecial Remembranceā photography to my list of photography services:
Infant bereavement
NIP
NICU photography
As a mom who has suffered an unfortunate miscarriage and also finds GREAT COMFORT in being able to look back at photos of my smiling, sleeping baby .. I am honored to be able to offer this level of comfort and support to families as my way of letting them know that āyou are not alone!ā
You may not want the photos now, but you will look for them at some point in your life.

April 25 - āA woman in birth is at once her most powerful, and most vulnerable. But any woman who has birthed unhindered understands that we are stronger than we know.ā - Marcie Macari

April 6 ā My favorite thing about this birth aside from seeing this family not only have an , but also accomplish their goal of having an unmedicated home-birth, was seeing this strong mama worship during labor š¤
Supported by her amazing birth team, she worked hard with the help of God & brought her beautiful baby boy earth side.
God does ALL things well!

I may not always get to meet my clients in person before they give birth, but it is super important to me to have at least one FaceTime meeting before āLabor Dayā to chat and get to know each other a bit more.. just so they donāt feel like a total stranger is entering their birth space.
We were suppose to meet on Monday. When my phone rang Sunday morning at 1:20AM, I immediately thought āthis canāt be happening š©ā. But I knew there would be no other reason sheād be calling me after midnight ā so I got up and headed to the birth center.
After a traumatic hospital birth with their first born, this mama labored gracefully to bring their baby boy earth side. They wanted nothing more than to give birth in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by love, support, and positivity ā God did that.
I am always SO blessed by redemptive births. Seeing God keep his promises for others reminds me that he is indeed a promise keeper and it increases my faith that he will keep his promises for me as well.

Something happened on March 6, 2023.
For 3 days, this mama labored anxiously waiting to meet her baby. Her birth team came together patiently supporting and holding space for her to cross the finish line.
We walked .. we lunged .. & walked some more.
Prayers went up. Towel racks were broken.
And then⦠a princess was born š

She texted me saying that they were headed to the hospital⦠12 hours later there were twins š
I love this work. Just as much as I still canāt believe that Iām someoneās MOM 𤯠(who am I having children?!), I canāt believe that Iām so blessed to be this kind of blessing.. I mean, itās not everyday you get to see twins being born.
God is awesome and the life he gives is unimaginable!

Rest. Support. Oxytocin .. and then a fresh breath of relief followed by tears, because you finally get to hold the one youāve been longing to meet.

This one, Iāll never forget.
The weeks leading up to this day began to get hard for this mama. But nothing worth having comes easy & little did she know, she had a TRIBE standing in the gap for her.
13 days passed her ādue dateā and we were here.. it was finally, really happening. From their home to the birth center, she labored through her contractions gracefully while being supported by the best doula & her amazing husband (who by the way, understood the assignment šš½ ).
When things wanted to stall, her birth team came together in prayer so much that fear and doubt didnāt stand a chance.
Needless to say, we had expectations for only one outcome & God stopped by and showed himself faithful. This was a redemptive VBAC experience that has blessed this beautiful couple and their entire birth team & I am more than honored to have been apart of it.

This is hard... but you are strong and you can do hard things.
This mama & her entire birth team (including her two š¶š„°) worked a hard 24+ hours to bring this baby earthside. She tapped into a level of strength she didnāt know she had and did an AMAZING job birthing her sweet baby boy.
