For this Friday's update we want to give everyone supporting the our pre-order projects some honest context about where things stand.

The projects were hit extremely hard when our overseas manufacturing ghosted us with our pre order money last year. At that point, we had a choice: shut the company down — or commit our own money, time and resources to finding another way to complete them.

We chose to keep going.

Since then, we have been working to bring as much of our production process in-house as possible. That has meant investing heavily in equipment, production capability, painting, finishing, packing and shipping, while also continuing to work through the existing back orders.

We are doing this as a team of two.

That means the same two people working on B-17 production are also working on Slave 1, ATAT, operating the equipment, preparing parts, painting, cleaning, packing orders, answering customer enquiries, producing updates and videos, developing new products to generate the revenue needed to keep production moving, and dealing with all of the other day-to-day demands of running the business. We are super excited to be able to produce some of our classic kits on-demand for those who have not been able to get one. These funds go into equipment and bills so we can speed up production and keep the engine moving. Now you can see why we set a 10 day production period to produce them and get them shipped!

We completely understand why our loyal customers want to know where their pre-order kits are and why they want to see progress. Many of you have been incredibly patient, and we do not take that for granted.

Please also understand that no pre order has simply been forgotten. We are very aware of what remains outstanding and of the responsibility we took on when people backed this project.

Our priority now is to spend as much of our available time as possible actually producing and completing pre order kits. We will continue to share meaningful updates and video content when there is genuine progress worth showing, rather than interrupting production simply to demonstrate that work is happening.

We are still here. We are still producing. We are still investing in the equipment and processes needed to finish our pre orders. And we remain committed to completing the outstanding kits and getting them into the hands of our customers.

What helps us most now is patience and constructive support while we focus on the work.

To everyone who has continued to encourage us through what has been an incredibly difficult period: thank you. It means more than you probably realize.

You will see new products and projects come to life through Merlin over the coming months. We need to be able to keep funds flowing in to be able to get equipment, pay bills, and hire help. The production on demand products are helping a little bit but we need more consistency to reach our internal goals for speed of production and capabilities. Please support us in these endeavors as every success means your projects get completed that much faster.
