That's why I'm thrilled to announce that READ With Mayor Brown is coming this summer!

📖 READ With Mayor Brown Opening Books. Building Community.

Beginning June 15, children and families will have the opportunity to participate in a community-wide summer reading challenge designed to encourage a love of reading, strengthen literacy skills, and celebrate learning together.

Whether you're reading your favorite picture book, exploring a new adventure, or discovering a story that changes your perspective, every page counts.

Alzheimer's disease impacts millions of individuals and families across our nation. It changes lives, challenges caregivers, and reminds us how precious our memories truly are.

This month, I encourage each of us to learn the warning signs, support those who are caring for loved ones, and extend grace to families navigating this difficult journey. A simple phone call, a visit, or an offer to help can make a meaningful difference.

Brain health matters at every age. Stay active, challenge your mind, prioritize sleep, manage stress, and maintain strong social connections. The choices we make today can help support a healthier tomorrow.

To every caregiver, family member, friend, and advocate: thank you for the love, patience, and compassion you provide every day. Your work often happens quietly, but it matters deeply.
