Falls aren’t an inevitable part of aging—and there are steps older adults can take to stay on their feet.

More than 1 in 4 adults age 65 and older reports falling each year, and falls are the leading cause of injury among older adults.

During Falls Prevention Awareness Week, we’re encouraging older adults and their families to take simple steps that can make a difference.

Learn more about ways to reduce fall risk and stay safe at home with the CDC’s older adult fall prevention resources.

At VitalCaring, we’re committed to helping patients live safely and independently in the place they call home. Learn more about the care and support we provide at VitalCaring.com.

Today, on World Alzheimer’s Day, we recognize the individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and the caregivers who support them every day. 💜

VitalCaring teams across Oklahoma and Texas are participating in local Walk to End Alzheimer’s events to raise awareness and stand alongside those affected by the disease. Pictured here, members of our Tulsa Oklahoma branch sponsored their community’s walk—representing just one of the many VitalCaring teams stepping up and walking together for this important cause.

Our team also had a couple of special visitors stop by the VitalCaring booth! 👑 We loved getting to meet Abbey Goodman, Mrs. Southwest International 2026, and Helen Brison, Mrs. Oklahoma BUS, who joined the community in supporting the event.

We’re proud to see our teams showing up for the communities we serve—today and throughout the year. 💜

When a loved one is receiving hospice care, families deserve to feel supported, informed, and confident that someone is there when they need them. 💜

In a recent Google Review, Tina shared her family’s 5-star experience with our Tulsa team and the compassionate, responsive care they provided for her mom. We’re grateful for families like Tina’s who trust VitalCaring during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

Compassion, comfort, and being there when it matters most are at the heart of the care our teams provide every day.

Flu season is approaching quickly. For older adults, an annual flu shot can reduce the risk of serious illness and complications.

If you or a loved one is 65 or older, talk with your healthcare provider about the flu vaccine that’s right for you this season.

September is National Cholesterol Education Month, a reminder that understanding your numbers is an important part of protecting your heart health.

High cholesterol often has no noticeable symptoms, but over time, it can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Regular screenings, heart-healthy habits, and conversations with your healthcare provider can help you understand your risk and take steps to manage it.
