: “My advice that I’d give musicians right now would be to hone in on the thing that has made us musicians, the music. Turn Netflix off, listen to music, play music, learn music, etc… I feel like being in quarantine has caused a great number of us to go somewhat numb. I wish for anyone in the current mundane routine to do one creative thing a day. It will do wonders for the soul.”

“As far as the art economy, I’m no economist, but I wish everyone could get paid more. I have no solution for this and I have no idea how it could be done. I just know I have many friends between bookers, artists, venue owners, etc.. that aren’t exactly banking it to say the least. Outside of monetary improvements, I think just treating everyone as equals would do so much good for the art community. More collaborations between the well known and the unknown in the creative world would be very interesting.”

“To be honest I just recently got a job in Boerne, Texas so I will be moving out there sometime in February. It is a bittersweet time because I am happy to be able to financially support myself and to only be an hourish outside of Austin, but It is kind of a bummer to not be able to be a hop away from all of my friends there.”
