Dear 2021,

Sorry I’m a little late to the party- 2022 has already been full speed ahead!

But before we get too deep into this year, let’s take a moment to reflect on all the wonderful donations we made, partnerships we built, and 5Ks we supported in the second half of of 2021:

Companion Hollows Home Owners Association - local dallas neighborhood canned food drive held in conjunction with the food conduit

Pleasant Grove Food Pantry- a food pantry passionately pursuing a hunger-free community

- safe shelter and basic needs for the vulnerable homeless in Dallas

Sound up 🔊 🔊 . ✨Hi there- happy new year everyone! 👋🏽 . ✨First and foremost, thank you to those that donated to our end of year fundraiser. We exceeded our goal by 40%, and we couldn’t have done it without all of your support! 🥰 . ✨For our December event, we targeted a Wal Mart in a DFW food desert and paid for 30 families groceries in full. The families were chosen at random, and it was such a joy to be able to give the gift of food to people who really need it. Donation boxes created for single parent households in the DFW area

Our goal is simple: Transport food and water to people in need because no one should go to bed hungry. With your donations we were able to do the following: · Donate over 3,000 pounds of food and over 20,000 units of water to various food pantries around Dallas · Create and deliver 100 boxes of essential food and PPE to single mothers Thank YOU for helping us make a small dent in such a large issue. We never get tired of the smiles we get to put on people's faces!

We are so excited to continue our partnership with Austin Street! Due to the blazing sun, hydration is a major concern in Texas. We were happy to provide drinks for the 250+ families at Austin Street.

Brother Bill's Helping Hand!

Thank you to everyone who donated to The Food Conduit! Pandemic donations to a local Dallas homeless shelter!

A little intro on who we are!

Hi there👋🏽 We hope you are all staying safe and sane during quarantine! Now that we’ve had a couple of months to get this organization off the ground, we’d like to introduce ourselves: . ✨My name is Amina, and my partner Fayyaz and I live in Dallas, TX where we spend most of our free time walking on Katy Trail, watching documentaries, and playing board games (he beats me at connect four every time😒) . ✨By day, we both work for tech companies (how very millennial of us). My job focuses on the healthcare industry, and his job focuses on the gig economy (ironically, both very interesting industries to be in right now!) 👩🏽‍💻👨🏽‍💻 . ✨The Food Conduit has been our brainchild for (almost) a year now, and it all started when Fayyaz’s cousin held a 5K for her organization Miles for Smiles Africa. Fayyaz came home with boxes and boxes of bananas, water bottles, granola bars- and we just stared at it. What do people normally do with all this leftover stuff? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♂️ . ✨Thus, formed The Food Conduit—we collect leftover food, snacks, and drinks from events all over Dallas, such as 5Ks and conferences and transport excess food to local food pantries. Who knew such a simple concept could impact so many lives?🌎. ✨We are so excited to ignite change, and grateful that you’re here on this journey with us!
