My father used to say that there are two kinds of people in this world: givers and takers. The takers may eat better, but the givers sleep better be nice and supportive to everyone because no one has it all.

Prayer is the key to righteousness. Always be prayerful 😇

Geraldine “Jerrie” Lawhorn was a performer, actress, pianist and instructor who at 67 years old became the first DeafBlind Black American to earn a college degree in the U.S. Lawhorn lost her hearing and sight through the course of childhood while her love for the arts grew. She would go on to study drama, teach poetry at the Hadley School for the Blind and earn a bachelor’s of arts.
