My husband and I are celebrating our 36th birthday together.

Sometimes you have to step out of the house, catch a flight and enjoy Miami.

It's so easy to get so into a routine that you forget to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Or even just change your location for a recharge.

2023 my focus for the year was Peace.

I assumed it would be light work lol boy was I wrong and just focus on the feeling day by day.

Instead it pushed me to really lean into therapy super hard to unload my baggage I've been carrying. Then learning it wasn't mine to carry in the first place.

I challenged and pushed through some of my biggest fears and was successful. But also really learned about boundaries and how to maintain them. And learn that it's okay to speak my truth and use my voice.

Pushed my husband and I closer than ever. And allowed me to build stronger friendships where my needs are equally as important as anyone elses with no guilt. I've lost a handful of friendships that made me feel like I was grieving but in hindsight it wasn't serving me anymore and that was hard to let history go for the sake of peace and discomfort. But the circle I have now is powerful, supportive and truly understands who I am without question.

My career is on a whole new path that ignited a new passion for me as well.

I'm super looking forward to 2024 but this time my word is Discipline.
