The bacteria in your mouth right now may be influencing your risk of breast cancer, stroke, brain damage, and Parkinson's.
This is where the science is going, and it's changing everything about how I approach your care. 🦷

Happy Father's Day! 🎉👨👩👧👦
To my amazing husband — watching you love our family the way you do is one of the greatest gifts of my life. You show up, you lead, you pour in, and you do it all with so much heart. We are beyond blessed to call you ours. 🙏🏾❤️
Today we also want to celebrate ALL of the incredible fathers in our patient family — thank you for trusting us with your health so you can keep showing up for the people who need you most. Take care of yourselves the way you take care of everyone else. You matter. 💙
And to every father among our amazing provider colleagues — you balance the weight of caring for others AND coming home to be a hero to your families. That is no small thing. We see you and we honor you today. 👏🏾
Happy Father's Day to every dad doing the work. 🙌🏾

Throwback to our talk at the Changing Life & Destiny Conference in Plano this past April 🙌
Every year we connect with people who have been fighting the same health battles for years — trying everything, exhausting every option. And when we ask one simple question — "Have you looked at your mouth?" — the room shifts.
First comes the look. You know the one 😄
Then they start listing everything going on in their mouth. The crowns, the root canals, the old fillings, the inflammation... and then it hits them.
Ohh...
Your mouth isn't separate from your body. It's the starting point. And so many people are chasing symptoms without ever looking there first.
If you've been stuck in a health loop and nothing is working — find a holistic dentist. It might be the missing piece you've been overlooking this whole time.
If your child snores, mouth breathes, or has crooked teeth — that's not normal. That's a sign. 👇
Most people don't realize that airway issues show up in the mouth first. And if we catch them early, we can change the entire trajectory of someone's health.
We're talking:
🔴 Snoring or mouth breathing
🔴 Crowded or crooked teeth
🔴 Chronic fatigue or brain fog
🔴 Grinding at night
🔴 Anxiety or ADHD-like symptoms in kids
These aren't random. Your body is asking you to look deeper.
NP Jessica Boniol, Dr. Alex Pankoke & I had the pleasure of diving into this topic and answering such great questions moms often have and struggle to find answers to.
💛 Save this. Share it with someone who needs to hear it.
👇 Which of these signs sounds familiar?
The last one definitely gives me the chills.
The mercury one hasn’t come out yet, even tho we’re getting some of the preview (fumes) every day (see what I did there?)

We got to try a new (well, new to us!) toothpaste and floss brand — and we have thoughts! 🦷✨
Thank you for sending over your products for us to test out!
As we always say, there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to oral care — the best product is the one that works for you and that you'll actually use consistently. So here's our honest take:
🍃 The toothpaste has a nice strong mint flavor. It's bold, just maybe not quite as intense as some of the mainstream brands you're used to. So if you need a good minty kick to feel like your mouth is clean, you'll enjoy it!
🧵 The floss is thicker, making it a great option for those who have more spacing between their teeth or tend to get food stuck near the molars.
The ingredients are vegan and pretty clean, the stevia is maybe not a great option if you tend to swallow toothpaste, or leave a smear over night since it can upset some people’s stomach.
Overall, both are solid options worth trying — especially if you're looking to switch things up!
👇 Drop your favorite toothpaste brand in the comments — and let me know if you've tried yet!

Your teeth are telling you something your doctor missed. 😴
Worn teeth? Scalloped tongue? Tight jaw?
These aren't quirks—they're signs your airway collapses every night.
When you can't breathe during sleep, your nervous system never fully rests. Stress hormones stay elevated. Your immune system stays activated. Your teeth take the hit.
I find this fascinating: We treat anxiety, fatigue, and brain fog with therapy—but we miss the root cause in your mouth.
Biological dentistry changes this. I see your teeth, airway, and nervous system as one integrated system—not separate problems.
If you wake exhausted, grind your teeth, or have constant anxiety that won't quit, this is for you.
What is your mouth trying to tell you?

Some concerns look small at first, but often reflect how much the body has been compensating underneath.
Feeding difficulty, shallow latch, reflux, mouth breathing, restless sleep, or clicking during feeds are often brushed off as “wait and see” in infants and children. But when restricted oral tissues are involved, the system adapts around the restriction rather than resolving it on its own.
In my practice, we don’t approach this as a one-step procedure. We first evaluate whether a laser frenectomy is appropriate, then build a plan that supports full-body function afterward.
For infants, that often includes coordinated bodywork to release tension patterns that impact feeding and regulation. For older children and adults, we commonly incorporate myofunctional therapy to retrain breathing, swallowing, and tongue posture for lasting results.
This approach is grounded in airway and functional health principles discussed by leading voices in airway health and developmental dentistry.
If something feels off with feeding, breathing, or sleep, trust that signal.
DM “TIE” to start the conversation.
“A rising tide lifts all boats.”
That’s how we see healthcare.
Not competition. Not silos. Not one provider trying to do it all.
But a room full of aligned practitioners - each bringing their own lens, their own training, their own tools - working together to support the same patient.
Because the truth is your symptoms don’t live in just one system.
This is why we believe so deeply in collaboration.
When your dentist, chiropractor, myofunctional therapist, and functional provider are all communicating… everything changes.
Care becomes more intentional.
Answers come faster.
Healing becomes possible.
We’re not here to “own” your care.
We’re here to be part of your village.

Most people don’t realize this yet -
the mouth is not separate from the body.
But in clinic, I see it every day:
when we stop treating teeth in isolation
and start looking at the mouth as part of the whole system, things finally start to make sense.
→ Chronic inflammation.
→ Fatigue.
→ Gut issues that never fully resolve.
They often don’t improve with isolated treatment - because the source is being missed.
When we support the oral microbiome, reduce toxic burden, and restore proper function, we’re not just “fixing teeth”, we’re actually influencing systemic health in real, measurable ways.
This is why I practice dentistry through a whole-body lens.
Because long-term stability in the teeth will never exist without stability in the terrain that supports them.
