Damn. Talk about three massive gut shots in the span of less than a week. Family Matters was one of the few shows I could watch when I was a kid, Ozzy helped pioneer one of my favorite genres of music and without Hulk, there IS no WWE - also a very nostalgic part of my teenage years.

Definitely will not be forgotten.

This isn’t an easy post to write, but I could really use your help.

The past few months have been incredibly hard. I lost my job and my apartment, and then my cats Charlie and Felix — my sweet boys — which was heartbreaking on top of everything else. Since then, I’ve been applying for every kind of position I can, but the job market feels impossible. Even with my best efforts, I haven’t been able to secure a stable income or even make it to the interview stage, which is beyond discouraging.

Meanwhile, the bills and collectors keep coming. It’s been a struggle to keep my head above water.

Most of you who know me understand I HATE posting something like this, but I could really use some support right now. If you’re able to help, any amount would make a meaningful difference — even just sharing this post or pointing me toward leads or resources.

A year ago I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. A year ago I’d had my first surgery (RIP lefty). A year ago I was beginning a journey that would have 2 surgeries, 10 weeks of chemotherapy and a lot of pain and sickness and fear.

Today? I skated in a hockey game. I’ve joined a team in a league. I’m clear of cancer.

What a difference a year makes. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Update: Hair started coming out last night, and then came out in larger clumps today so Brian helped me shave it all. Up until now I’ve just felt tired, or sickly. Nothing completely unusual. This milestone was definitely a jarring experience to have chunks of my own hair in my hand and resort to just shaving it all down. Thankfully it will grow back, but this is going to be me for the next few months. Chemo definitely sucks.

The beard is starting to come out in pieces but I wanted to hold on as long as I could to that because once I shave that I look like a gawky awkward teenager. 😣😑🤬
