Nearly 200 fathers packed West End Academy in southwest Birmingham for the school's annual Donuts with Dad event! The fathers also had an opportunity to eat lunch with their children. The event is designed to celebrate and honor fathers.

Depression isn't always the look of sadness. We have many shared positive emotions, laughs, hugs, and smiles. That's what keeps our true pain hidden. Constantly protecting others. No one understands, no matter how much you express the simplest discontent with your day or life... So many surfaces. Those that say it's selfish to leave this world like this, are really some of the main reasons why it's our secret. Thoughts of being ridiculed or faulted for having these thoughts/emotions. We don't want to hurt our loved ones, but the inner pain is so much bigger than you could ever imagine. No one listens without judgement,Enjoy your peace 💜
