Rescuing special needs animals has been in our soul for a long time at Leo’s…
Jenny was the most challenging case we ever had. She had Cerebellar Hypoplasia and Hydrocephalus and it was a roller coaster of ups and downs, but her ups were the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed 🥹
We said goodbye to Jenny in January after her brain started to betray her… and her loss hit so hard. We went harder for special animals because of her and we will always continue to advocate for the special needs/disabled and injured.
She was just such a special light and we miss her every day. 💔 So many of you helped us get her the help she needed and helped us give her the best life we could… she was only 3 years old 🥺I will post some videos of her in our stories 🥹💜
Thank you all for believing in our tiny rescue and helping us give dogs that would never have been saved a second chance 💜 You all do not go unnoticed or unappreciated, believe me.

🐾 Excuse me… do you have a moment to talk about how cute I am? 🥹💜 -Mufasa
Today was one of those days that restored a little faith. 💜
I took Angelo outside to work on strengthening his back legs and practice using his new wheelchair.
Then the cutest thing happened 🥹
The neighborhood kids saw us outside and came running over to help. They cheered Angelo on, encouraged him to keep taking steps, and helped give him the confidence to keep moving forward. He doesn’t always do it when it’s just me 🤣
This absolutely melted my heart. 💜
Angelo is making small improvements, just like Manny did. And Manny can walk, even RUN now. Seeing these tiny signs of progress gives me so much hope that if we keep doing exactly what we’re doing, Angelo might have a chance to walk again too. 🙏🏽
This is actually his FOURTH wheelchair because finding the perfect fit for a dog with his specific needs has been incredibly difficult 😩 I had to adjust and modify it during these videos to help his mobility a bit. (don’t judge my rigging skills)🤣
Sometimes healing takes a village and today Angelo’s village was a group of sweet kids who loved on him and wanted to help him. 💜🐾 So cute 🥹

Thank you SO much to everyone who has donated and sent us items for Angelo and Leo’s friends! We are beyond grateful that we have you guys who answer our pleas- We are incredibly grateful!
Angelo got a new wheelchair that was rigged by a sweet family and hopefully it fits a bit better than the others!
Small progress report… I have randomly seen him use one of his back legs to push himself into the standing position 🥹
AND I’ve discovered while doing his leg excersizes that when I stand him up myself, his tail will begin to wag 😭🥹 I’m crossing everything I’ve got in hopes that someday he will be able to walk again like our Manny- but for now- we continue the therapy we are doing.

🚨 We Need Help 🚨
The animal crisis right now is heartbreaking. Shelters are overflowing, animals are being euthanized at an alarming rate, and rescues everywhere are drowning. Including us
We are exhausted
Fosters aren’t stepping up and we’re running out of supplies and funding. We cannot continue helping new animals if we can’t first take care of the animals already depending on us. We have had to say no to so many because we have to have what we need for Leo’s friends.
Right now we urgently need:
🐾 Dog and cat/kitten food
🐾Regular and disposable towels and pads
🐾 Flea/Tick and heartworm prevention
🐾 Cleaners and disinfectants
🐾 Medical supplies
We also owe $200 at our vet and have several animals still needing veterinary care, including spay and neuter surgeries for multiple kittens- Mufasa, Nina, and Coco. Coco is cryptorchid (he’s hiding one ball 😅) he also needs two teeth pulled. And Angelo will have to go back to neurology soon. He is having very little change 😩
Every single thing we use or do costs us.. every surgery, every bag of food, every bottle of meds costs money. We are running out of flea/tick and heartworm prevention as well. Please consider donating to help us care for all of our babies 💜🙏🏽

Today was quite emotional and bittersweet 🥹
After 2 and a half YEARS in foster care- Jack is finally adopted!! 😭🎉
Jack and his brother Winter were being given away at a Walmart and one of our Fosters grabbed them- they have been with me ever since. I raised these two giant dragon boys until Winter got adopted a year ago!
Jack has been patiently waiting and I have silently hoped and prayed that he would be adopted by somebody near his brother and he is less than 20 minutes away 🥹😭
But the most important part is that he found such an amazing Mom and Dad who already love him as much as I do!! They’re the kindest people and we are just beyond the moon for Jackie boy 😭
Saying goodbye is the worst part about being in rescue and loving dogs 💔 My mamma heart hurts, but we do this so we can help the next one. Jack waited so long for this family and he deserves the world!!!
I love you to death my boy (My ginormous pain in the ass!) you are going to have the best life 💜🥹🙏🏽
Funny PS: I think it’s hysterical that he went from being the largest dog in my house to the smallest dog in his new Home 🤣🤣

Norman is doing amazing! He went to his two week post op appointment and they gave him the all clear ☑️

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED FOR MUFASA 🚨
We are urgently looking for a foster (or foster-to-adopt) for Mufasa in the DFW area!
Mufasa is a sweet boy who struggles with some separation anxiety. He is okay with other dogs but would prefer not to share all of his people. He bonds hard and loves his humans.

We would LOVE to find someone interested in fostering with the intention of adopting if it’s a good fit.
