Did you know that our very own Dallas Chapter member, Kevin Drain, is cousin to Maryum Ali, the eldest daughter of legendary champion and activist Muhammad Ali? Maryum is starring in FLOAT, a powerful one‑woman show running May 27 – June 7, 2026, at the Bishop Arts Theater Center.

We invite all Tigers to join us for GRAMFAM Night on Friday, June 5 at 7 PM as we cheer on Maryum and celebrate this special connection within our Dallas Chapter community.

Let’s show up and support our alum in a big way. Let’s fill the room with love, pride, and Tiger spirit.

Grambling State University upheld its long‑standing tradition of celebrating Golden Graduates, honoring alumni who reached the 50‑year milestone since crossing the stage.

During the Golden Graduation Reunion held May 14–15, 2026, the Class of 1976 was recognized for its enduring commitment to GSU. The class contributed $25.5K—to be matched—toward the GSU Scholarship Endowment, continuing a proud legacy of investing in future generations of Gramblinites.

The Dallas Chapter was proudly represented by Clarence Moore, Delphia Fegan, and Vivian Kemp.

Congratulations to these exceptional GSU 2026 graduates with 4.0 GPA's!

Meet the Valedictorians for the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony, who all maintained a 4.0 GPA during their time at Grambling State. Nyic'Quavayion Willis is a Criminal Justice major from Las Vegas, NV, planning to attend the University of San Diego on a full-ride HBCU Changemaker Fellowship in the Master of Social Innovation program before attending law school.

Wymeko Williams is an accounting major from Mansfield, TX, planning to begin his accounting career with Turner Construction Company in Dallas, TX, while also pursuing a master's in the subject to become a Certified Public Accountant.

Annia Shelton is an Elementary Education major from New Orleans, LA, who passed all PRAXIS teacher certification exams on her first attempt and plans to return to New Orleans and teach the next generation.
