• Charge devices and prep a basic emergency kit (flashlight, batteries, meds).

Protect your home

• Secure patio furniture, grills, and loose outdoor items.
• Park vehicles under cover when possible.
• Take “before” photos of your roof & exterior for documentation.

Protect your business / property

• Inspect & document roof condition and penetrations now (photos help).
• If you’re repairing or replacing a roof, follow commercial roof best practices designed for convective storms.
• Consider hail guards for roof-mounted HVAC to help reduce damage and downtime.
• Confirm your post-storm plan: who shuts down equipment, who calls vendors, and who documents damage for claims.
