Canada is shaping the global conversation on AI and we’re proud to be part of it.

At the 2025 B7 meeting, we brought our Canada’s AI Economy report, supported by Microsoft Canada, directly into conversations with global business and government leaders, including Canada’s Minister of Industry.

As the official voice of the business community within the G7, the B7 is where priorities take form, and our work helped move the dialogue forward.

Our work has shaped some of Canada’s most important economic decisions.

In 1989, we delivered one of the first comprehensive evaluations of the proposed GST. Our analysis contributed to lowering the rate from 9% to 7%.

And we kept building on that impact.

Between 2005 and 2007, our economists developed long-term fiscal forecasting models that helped governments plan for the future of health and education spending, informing decisions like increasing the Canada Health Transfer and setting a more sustainable path for social funding.
