It was a wedding 65 million years in the making.
To be sung to the theme of Jurassic Park:
“Da da daa da daa, da da daa da daa”
Every few minutes, a guest could be heard humming the iconic (and highly nostalgic) tune.
The wedding testified to how fun and playful Lindsay and Jordan are: a giant Jurassic Park gate to welcome guests, people dressed as dinosaurs, a gong that would be struck if your wedding speech got a little *ahem* long winded, lol.
The wedding was a total riot, and Emily and Jordan are both infectiously fun to hang out with - and of course, their crew of family and friends are amazing.

I would watch a show about Tammy and Andre. 🎬 There’s a playful unpredictability about them; they had a private signing of the registry before the ceremony, and somehow Andre ended up completely barefoot in the middle of it, lol.
It was a joy to spend the day with them, and watch two lovely families connect with each other.
And for anyone on the fence about having a winter wedding - I think they’re pretty awesome! Just like Tammy and Andre 🎉
A special shoutout to Fiona, Danielle, The Grand Hotel, and all the other vendors who helped make this special day happen!

Wedding vs Blizzard. That’s sorta what it felt like. Relentless snow, aggressive winds, but inside...a whole pile of fun. When it’s perilous outside, inside feels extra cozy - a little community of partiers.
Catherine and Scott wanted a winter wedding, but they probably didn’t know how much winter their wedding would have :)
They’re such an awesome couple; super cool and just a blast to hang out with - they just rolled with the winter punches all day and night long.
An extra special shoutout to the awesome vendors and venue who were all rockstars on this super snowy day - they really are some of the best in the biz and I can't recommend them enough.

It was -6000 degrees, I think! But Brooklyn and Curtis were absolute troopers during the portraits.
And of course, a special tip of the hat to Brooklyn, wearing just her wedding dress. She took every bit of cold she felt and turned it into total queen energy - snap snap!
Thanks so much for having me at your wedding, and an absolutely huge congratulations on your growing family! I’m really so thrilled for you both. I know how much family means to you.
I had a great time at your wedding and hanging out with you folks!

Every parenting cliche is true. Kids grow up so fast.
Which is one reason why, in addition to the formal pics, I always try to create a space where families can just be themselves.
Because sometimes sons demand their moms to pop all those bubbles as fast as possible ;)
I met Rebecca and Scott at a wedding - I was sitting with them! And it was great to see them both again, and also meet their lovely kids.
I’ve said before that I draw the best wedding couples; I also draw the coolest families, too.
Thanks so much for spending time with me! You two are awesome, and your kids are a total hoot!

Of course, for a couple as lovely as Brianna and Scott, getting gorgeous portraits is super easy, but I’m also drawn to the little moments.
During their portraits, they found this absolutely massive leaf; Scott poked a hole and wore it as a mask while Brianna used her veil for some spooky vibes. It was pretty funny - I love their natural playfulness.
And then the sun came out for a few photos too! Praise you, Solar Gods!
Thanks so much, Brianna and Scott, for having me at your wedding; it was awesome spending time with you both, and seeing so many familiar faces :)

You know it’s an awesome wedding when the dance floor is hit so hard it results in a literal hole, lol. But no venue was hurt in the making of this wedding; Daphne and Bryan had their amazing day in their backyard :)
I totally dig backyard weddings. They’re a lot of work for the couple, but it’s a great way to put a personal stamp on the day. And these storytelling touches were everywhere.
Daphne and Bryan are a super fun couple to hang out with, and their wedding crew were equally amazing. It was a total party from “Go!”.
Thanks so much for having me! Your day was such a blast!

When a fellow photographer picks you to photograph their wedding, it’s a pretty special ask! I met Meagan at a wedding - I remember seeing her sneakingly eating a burger behind the bar, lol.
Meagan and Graeme feel like old friends; you can horse around with them and have a good laugh. They’re both authentic, comfortable being themselves, and super fun to hang out with.
And as a related aside: couples sometimes will ask me if it’s okay to bring their dogs to engagement shoots - of course! I love the little bits of joyful chaos that dogs bring to shoots!
Plus, very often our pets aren’t able to be a part of the wedding itself, so including them in the engagement can be a nice compromise.
(I’m officially one year late on Instagram posting now, lol - it’s been a busy season, but hopefully I can post a few more shoots a little more regularly!)

The engagement shoot felt like walking into a slice of Lindsay’s past. Their cozy cottage had artwork directly applied to the walls; everything felt like a mix of childhood magic, and somehow, shared nostalgia.
One of the best things about the photography gig is the invitation into someone else’s life.
Jordan and Lindsay are generous, super smart, and a ton of fun; they feel like old friends. I really couldn’t imagine their engagement shoot being anywhere other than a place of memories.
Wedding season has been bonker town, so I’m super far behind on social media posting; sadly, I won’t be able to post everything (realistically). But I couldn’t not share this shoot. Their wedding already happened months ago! And, of course, it was a total blast!
Thanks so much you too! I’m sure we’ll hang out again!

A lot of my wedding couples were guests from other weddings I’ve photographed. It’s a joy for me, because I draw in the best couples (it’s true!) and they have amazing friends. I get to see the original couple again, and some of the same guests too.
I met Jenny and James from photographing Danika and Justin’s wedding last year, and I can see why they’re good friends; they’re all smart and funny people.
For Jenny and James’ engagement shoot, they used binoculars to look at birds, things on the ground, and each other from point blank, lol.
It was a super fun shoot, and I’m excited for their wedding, which is in a few hours (!!!) from now.
Looking forward to celebrating with you both!!
