🌊Flooding the zone" is a strategy developed by infamous Trump advisor Steve Bannon: overwhelm the public and the press with a constant stream of policies and decisions, so no single one gets sustained scrutiny. Now Mark Carney is employing the same tactic in Canada.
Carney expected his billionaire investor summit to be met with little pushback but we showed our power!
Dozens of media covered the protest rather than his summit.
Thank you all for showing what solidarity looks like! But the work doesn't stop here.
Come to our Mass Call on our good work guarantee campaign launch

😡Days after Carney’s shameful Investor summit, where a red carpet was laid out to sell off Canada to billionaires, corporations, tech oligarchs and more..
We showed up in thousands to say NO to this Corporate agenda and demand that our government invest in the public institutions that materially improve our lives, like health care and education!
💥Young people across the country are facing high rates of youth unemployment and unaffordability, which is why we are demanding a good work guarantee for ALL.
After disrupting their party we are not letting go on just one disruption. We are building power on campus to leverage the lobbying power of our universities.

Earlier this week, student leaders from campuses across Ontario & Montréal gathered in Tkaronto to connect, get skilled up, and learn about the next phase of Change Course campaigning.
Young people across the country are struggling with soaring cost of living, cuts to our public education and healthcare systems, and lack of good work to make ends meet, all amidst a backdrop of devastating climate catastrophe. Students are preparing to organize for Good Work on campuses across the country, fighting for solutions to the climate and economic crises that support us in finding good jobs for our lives and futures. More coming soon!
Such deep gratitude to Le Hub de mobilisation / The Organizing Hub for supporting with hard skills trainings. Thank you Wildseed Centre for the beautiful community cantered space. And thank you Emma Buchanan for making us look beautiful!

Today I woke up and my apartment was engulfed in smoke. My heart breaks for everyone in Northern Ontario who has lost everything. I’m thinking of my unhoused neighbours today, elders in my community, and folks with disabilities who are being most impacted.
My heart is so heavy with grief, I struggled to find the words to speak in this reel. The climate crisis is here and now. It couldn’t be more urgent.
