Our legs hurt, our voices are sore, and our hearts are happy.

Thank you from Descope to everyone for a wonderful Identiverse. See you next year, bigger (if that's even possible) and better!

The Descope Cafe at Verci was definitely the most talked about thing in New York City over the past few weeks! Has anything else happened to unify the city as much as this recently, like a once-in-a-generation sporting event or something?

AI Launch Week Day 5: Cloud-Neutral Agent Identity

Agent platforms like Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Azure AI Foundry, and Google Vertex AI provide agentic identity and credential vaulting. These are great foundations for agents running and calling tools in these cloud environments.

The Descope Agentic Identity Hub extends and completes your agent identity story with:

🔹 A cloud-neutral agent directory for your entire agent fleet
🔹 A credential vault that brokers OAuth tokens and API keys across clouds and third-party services
🔹 A unified policy engine that checks access rules at issuance
🔹 A fully agent-ready authorization server (OAuth 2.1, CIMD / DCR, CIBA)

AI Launch Week Day 4: Policies

Want a background agent to get access to a backend ledgers API and nothing else?

Want an agent to get read-only scopes, but elevate to write scopes when a delegating user is involved?

Want to lock up your APIs so only your MCP server can call them, and an agent calling them directly gets blocked?

All of these use cases and more are now possible with Descope Policies.

✅ Define authorization rules for applications or agents attempting to access enterprise resources or downstream connections
✅ Enforce policies at the token boundary (issuance and exchange)
✅ Add access policies without codebase or API logic changes

AI Launch Week Day 2: Identity For Autonomous Agents

An autonomous agent does work without a person watching each step. It calls backend APIs, invokes MCP tools, and reaches downstream services like Google or Slack to get a job done.

Giving it an identity is harder than it looks, and organizations are accidentally employing identity anti-patterns (shared API keys, hard-coded secrets) in an effort to take these agents to production.

There's a better way with the Descope Agentic Identity Hub.

You can now support the full identity lifecycle for autonomous agents: registration, authentication, identity management, policy-based access, and revocation.

Whether it's an n8n workflow, background agent, or a multi-agent system that already has a token from an upstream IdP, Descope provides a holistic identity and governance layer to help these agents scale securely while accessing the resources they need.

AI Launch Week Day 1: Agent Experience

Everyone (including us) talks about IAM for agents, but what about agents for IAM? Today we're announcing:

🔒 Descope MCP Server
This remote MCP server connects your AI assistant to Descope.

It gives agents the ability to read docs, inspect project config, manage users and tenants, configure authentication flows, review audit logs, and make changes to your identity infrastructure, all through natural language and from a single session.

🤖 Descope Skills
A set of standard operating procedures for agents to automate identity tasks on Descope. Add auth to your app, build custom login UI, create FGA schemas, migrate from other auth providers, and more.
