June 6, 1944
82 years ago, nearly 150k men faced uncertainty and danger on the shores of Normandy. Known as the longest day, their bravery gave new hope to the end of WWII and solidified the bravery of the American service member.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit Normandy, the beaches and memorials are solemn reminders of the cost of freedom. These are things too important to ever be forgotten.

A debt which cannot be paid, but it can be honored. Those who gave the ultimate sacrifice are the heroes upon which this nation was built and remains. President Reagan said such eloquently.

Last but not least
Graduation #8 is upon us
Lambert High School
Home of the Longhorns
Largest graduating class this year. 700+ graduates.
Who knew 4.83 was even a possible GPA. Across all 8 schools, we have some incredibly talented students. Parents, be proud.
This year’s crop of students were literally one of the most open, friendly and respectful groups in my past 10 years at graduations. Parents be more proud of this.

And here is #7. Just one more to go.
West Forsyth High School
Home of the Wolverines
600 plus graduates. Without miss this years group of seniors have been incredibly friendly and gracious when I get to spend some time behind the scenes with them.
For all the complaining and first world problems we like to lament about, spend some time with these young adults and they can change your attitude for the better. Parents, you’re forging some great kids.

#4 North Forsyth Raiders
Early Sunday start for graduations. Some sleepy eyes for the North Forsyth Raiders. Both our kids are Raider graduates and we love this school deeply.
Going to be a long day.
How NFHS honors our service members is just special. Every year they produce outstanding men and women who are headed to serve our Nation’s armed forces.
Obligatory selfies with student’s and one of my kid’s favorite teacher.
Go get your dreams Raider’s, wherever that takes you. May God grant you wisdom and safety on your journey.

And here’s #3. Forsyth Central High School
This one is always special. This is my and Mrs Sheriff’s Alma Mater, Forsyth Central High School, always in our hearts as Forsyth County High School. We’re OG’s. 39 years ago she caught my eye and heart in her cheerleading outfit in a hallway that still exist.
Always a great group of young adults. They were mighty in their accomplishments. Several were headed to our armed forces to serve their Nation.
Go Dawgs…get after your dreams.
This is acceptable driving on the roads right now. Now you big kids stay home and let the experienced drivers like these guys handle the travel.
