Hoping for cooler weather soon, I made my Lipton Onion Soup Mix Sourdough today. One of our favorites for fall, pairs well with all kinds of soups and stews.
Absolutely delicious!
Classic Sourdough recipe with 1 1/2 packets of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, mixed in with starter and water. I adjust water to 360g water instead of the normal 350g. If you want it even more savory replace water with organic beef broth. This is a family favorite. I’m making homemade navy bean and ham soup tomorrow to pair it with🧡

When your daughter comes home from college for the night and asks you to make her another sourdough loaf, you make it…she eats it with peanut butter when she can’t make it to the dining hall🧡🍂

Here’s a picture of the sourdough rye bread that I baked and posted yesterday for my friend and her husband, they said it was absolutely wonderful and they compared it to a sourdough and rye having a baby 😊 Here is a picture of the inside crumb she sent. I’m very happy with this one. I will be making it again!🧡

Sourdough Rye Bread🧡🍂
My first rye, it looks beautiful and smells delicious, I’m very happy with how it turned out.
The big test is when I give it to my friend tomorrow and we try it!

What was your experience?
At the request of a friend, I followed a recipe I found online and I have to say not feeling good about it. Dough feels very “heavy”.

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA…I’ve been getting ready to send our daughter off to college (the one that makes us empty nesters) we move her into her dorm in the morning and she asked me to please make her a sourdough loaf to take with her🥹here it is. I will slice it in the morning before we go. She loves it with peanut butter. This is going to be a hard “see ya later”🩶
