After an extended offseason, it is Finally Race Day!!!!! Non Wing Outlaw...... Let's Go!!!

Had a great time at the KKM race at Macon Speedway.
With limited experience running non-wing and having to miss Thursday's practice, we were definitely behind the eight ball.
Cole struggled in qualifying on the Friday night being his first time hitting the track. He recovered well having a good heat race going from P7 to P4. That was enough to advance him straight to the A-Main starting P12. After falling back to 18th on the start he was able to find the top and race is way back up to finish P12.
Saturday night was just not meant to be. Struggled again qualifying. Started P7 in the heat had a great run making it up to 4th before being pushed out of the groove with 1 lap to go. He would drop all the way back to P7. Started P9 in the B-Main and did not transfer to the A-Main.
All in all is a great weekend. It was good to get back out to a track. Looking forward to the next one.

The 40th annual Tulsa Shootout is in the books! Cole had an amazing week! Having not been in the car, for the last 4 months, we went with little expectations and Cole completely proved otherwise!
Starting with the heat race, he was able to get from P5 and finish P3. That had him starting P5 in a qualifier and he finished P4. Falling just below the A main points cutoff, that put him starting P3 in the B main. Cole had to finish top 2 in the B main for a chance to race in the A main event. He was able to win his B main, which put him starting P7 in an LCQ, last chance qualifier, race.
Starting P7 in the LCQ, Cole would have to finish top 8 to be able to make the 24 car A main. He was able to maintain a top 8 position, but with 3 laps to go Cole could no longer hold the bottom and ended up giving up a couple spots having him finish in 10th. Ultimately, that had him finishing 26th out of 170 plus cars.
All in all, a huge accomplishment for our little team. It stings a little bit getting that close and not making the A main, but we still consider this a win in our books.
Special thanks to the Whitney's for getting our car there and all the track side support. Reed was an incredible mentor this week. Thank you to Aaron, Bryce and Joe, Chris and Connie for all their trackside support as well!
Cole's heat race from yesterday at the Tulsa Shootout. He was able to go from 5th to 3rd making a qualifier and one step closer to making the show on Saturday. He will be back on the track tomorrow starting P5 in his qualifier.
