Finishing out the school year with a full schedule- math is complete, lake day enjoyed, and the high schoolers hosted a very successful and delicious dinner for over 40 people to end their Culinary class.

This week is exam and showcase before summer break!

What does last week’s beautiful weather mean? Dissections of course!

We managed to get outside and take advantage of the open air and sunshine to learn more about the biological wonders of our world.

Grades 4-8 did a pig heart dissection, which is closest in makeup to the human heart. They were able to search the different paths blood takes and study its amazing design.

High School Biology has spent the last few weeks dissecting the worm, starfish and crayfish, investigating the make up of the world’s creatures.

This month has been a whirlwind! Loving the beautiful weather, spring break and even a few field trips thrown in! Buckling down to finish the last half of term 3!

We had a really wonderful end to term 2, a full showcase and then a relaxing break.

We’re back at it again, last term of the 2025/26 school year!

We’ve had blistering cold weather and snow delays, but learning is still happening here at Standing Oak! We’re wrapping up term 1 and heading into exams next week.

We’ve been busy since January hit, with a new handicraft- hand sewing, while finishing up books from term 2.

Welcome back from break! We hope you had a wonderful December and Christmas and are ready to start the New Year off well.

It’s been a bustling November, full of new books for the term, both cool and warm weather, Christmas tree decorating, making bread with seniors and fun treats in Culinary.
