We've got the brass!
No, literally, we've had brass chips flying for the past week now with no end in sight.

Not that we're complaining because it's beautiful jobs like this that help keep industry moving.

It's been awhile....

Anyway, what you see here is a completed project for a client that involved several modifications from the original design.

The J boxes were modified to take the screen electronics and internal circuitry for a truck lift scale.

We think they look pretty schnazzy! 😆

Yeah, we know… it’s been a little quiet for us lately. But don’t worry — we didn’t hang up the wrenches or run off to the beach. We’ve just been busy keeping the lights on, the spindle spinning, and the chips flying.

Even after losing one of our biggest clients, we didn’t skip a beat. Around here, we don’t cry over spilled coolant — we clean it up and get back to work.

We’ve stayed busy, kept the machines humming, and found new ways to keep Allegany Machine Works running stronger than ever.

Stay tuned — we’ve got plenty in the works (and probably a few sparks flying too).

Say hello to our new friend, Stitch!

Stitch is a rescue off the streets and is a bit skittish and extremely loveable at the same time.
Unfortunately, Reese had to go home with his owner, but he's happy to be home as we've been told.

As always, work progresses on many fronts such as the plate job for a client that had a quick turnaround.

We've been busy with many jobs going at the same time, which unfortunately leaves no time for photos, let alone Facebook posts.

So here's a two photo update.
The first is an example of a job that requires a two piece assembly made from 304 Stainless.

The second, Reese AKA Dirt, is checking out the boxes. He has adjusted well and is healthy and happy here at the Shop!

Sometimes you can't get anything done when there's......

A cat on your HAAS Manual or in front of your CNC Machine.

This afternoon, during a particularly heavy rain, this dude (who we've seen around before and nicknamed) came and walked into the Garage as we were moving one of the South Bend Lathes.

So, let us introduce, Dirt (the shop cat).
He's small, in addition to being malnourished.
Hardly any fleas and no ticks.

We fed him, gave him a litterbox, and let him have the place to roam.

He's adjusting well, obviously. 😆
