Show’s a go, snow or no (probably).
If left up to me we’re playing. It might not be up to me. But right now, plan on coming and hanging out with us; we’ll be playing even if the room’s empty. That being said, it would be cool if the room wasn’t empty and was, instead, packed. That also being said, use your best judgement. See you tomorrow.
Yall should check out who the featured artist for Appalachian Echoes is on WXCC 96.5 The Mullet

There are good years, and then there are great years, and then there are years. This was one of em. 2025 is a snake in the Chinese zodiac and 2026 is a horse so, for the coming year, let’s all commit to more horsing around and less convincing a lady in a garden to eat some bad fruit. Cheers.

In September of 2020 I wrote my first song. It was called If I Could and I couldn’t carry the melody in a bucket with two handles. I sent it to my sister and she told me “you realize you have to do something with this.” I didn’t know what she meant by that.
Today is December 7th, 2025. I turn 26 tomorrow. I have just released an album of music that I wrote. I’ve learned how to sing well enough. I’ve played hundreds of shows to crowds big and crowds nonexistent. I’ve quit drinking, quit overthinking and started trying to listen for what God wants me to. I haven’t figured that out yet exactly, but I’ve figured out what “something” means more than I thought I would.
On Friday I played a show I organized in less than two weeks. It was my album release show where I had no albums to sell and played a bunch of songs that weren’t on the record. I had my friends come play with me as a way to hear their songs and hang out with them again. A lot of my family were there. A lot of my friends were there. A lot of people I hadn’t met before were there. It went better than I ever hoped it would, and we were able to do a lot of good with the proceeds and donations. How wild.
I’ve quit making plans. I don’t think God necessarily laughs at them so to speak, but it does seem that they rarely work out the way I make them. That’s fine. I’ve got no clue what’s going on, but it seems to me that moments pop up from time to time that give you an opportunity to harmonize with the world around you. I’ve let them pass me by before, but recently I’ve been trying to grab ahold of them more and more as I see them, and I’ve noticed that the more I grab, the more I see.
There are a lot of people I’d like to thank so let’s get started:
God for coming to get me when I needed him the most.
John Swanson for helping me finance this thing and for always being there when I need help with anything.
Jadon Hayes without whom nothing about this project would have come to fruition.
All my friends and the musicians and artists who helped us make it.
Mom and Dad for letting me show up at their house and raid their fridge and helping me set up the show. (continued in comments)
Album out at midnight.
