Reminder for Dulcimer U members!

Just a quick reminder that June 30th is the last day to register for the Dulcimer Summer Gathering!

If you’ve been thinking about coming, now’s the time to sign up and make it official. We’d love to have you join us and be part of it.

Dulcimer U Summer Gathering NOTE: WCU launched a new registration system in Spring 2024. Please pay close attention to the step-by-step instructions for registering for the conference and then choosing your classes. You will need to create an account to get started. 

One of our Dulcimer U participants, Colleen Kennedy, is needing a ride to campus from the Asheville airport on Sunday, July 19. If you happen to be passing through Asheville on your way to Dulcimer U, please consider letting her share the ride with you. Colleen writes: Ride needed from Asheville airport to Cullowhee - gas money, chocolate, and lunch en route offered. Her flight arrives in Asheville at 11:38 AM.

Again this year, we will be hosting a raffle and giving away this beautiful, one of a kind walnut/maple mountain dulcimer, handcrafted by Todd Wever of Montrose, Colorado. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward helping others afford to attend Dulcimer U in 2027.

Carol Crocker is a Western Carolina University alumni. She will be teaching our New Players class this summer at Dulcimer U. If you've always wanted to learn how to play the mountain dulcimer, this is a unique opportunity to spend a week learning the instrument with Carol. Register at dulcimeru.wcu.edu

Steve Eulberg returns to Dulcimer U this summer after several years absence to teach the Level 4 Upper Intermediate Skills class. Check out his class description at dulcimeru.wcu.edu

This summer, our Bass Dulcimer Skills Class will be taught by Deby Libby. Come spend the week with Deby learning skills and techniques unique to this member of the dulcimer family. dulcimeru.wcu.edu

Joe Collins returns to our Dulcimer U staff this year to teach the Level 5 Beyond Intermediate morning skills class. He will also teach afternoon electives and perform multiple concert sets in the evenings. Registration is now open at dulcimeru.wcu.edu
