This week, the Cullman Police Department hosted the Forensic Pieces Basic Bloodstain Pattern Analysis course. Five Cullman Police Department investigators attended the training alongside law enforcement professionals from Madison Police Department, Vestavia Hills Police Department, Cherokee County, Georgia, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Biloxi, Mississippi, and Fargo, North Dakota.
This specialized training provided investigators with a deeper understanding of bloodstain pattern analysis, an important forensic discipline used in crime scene investigations. By hosting and participating in advanced training opportunities such as this, the Cullman Police Department continues to invest in professional development and ensures our investigators have access to the latest techniques and best practices in criminal investigations.
We appreciate Forensic Pieces for providing this valuable training and all of the agencies that traveled to Cullman to participate.

๐๐บ๐ธ Happy 90th Birthday, Luther Johnson! ๐บ๐ธ๐
Today we celebrate Luther Johnson, a Korean War veteran who enlisted in the United States Army by lying about his age and joined when he was just 15 years old, turning 16 during his deployment to Korea.
Although Luther was trained as a cook, upon arriving in Korea he was informed that enough cooks were already assigned. Instead, he was assigned to a M.A.S.H. unit, where he proudly served as a medic, providing care and assistance to fellow service members during a time of war.
The Cullman Police Department was honored to visit Luther at the Cullman Senior Center and surprise him with some ice cream as we helped celebrate this special milestone. It was a privilege to spend time with him and hear about his remarkable life and service to our nation.
Thank you, Luther, for your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to serving others. We wish you a very Happy 90th Birthday and many more years of health, happiness, and blessings.
๐ Happy Birthday, Luther, and thank you for your service! ๐บ๐ธ๐

This week, the Cullman Police Department was honored to welcome a group of students from Cullman Christian School for a visit to our department.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to meet with Chief Joey Duncan and Major Intae Suh, who gave a tour of the department, allowing them to see firsthand how our officers and staff work each day to keep Cullman safe.
We always appreciate opportunities to connect with young people in our community, answer their questions, and help them learn more about the profession of law enforcement. Thank you to Cullman Christian School for taking the time to visit us. We enjoyed having you and hope you had a great experience at the Cullman Police Department! ๐๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
