Someone asked me how long it takes to pour 1000 jigs. I have never really paid attention to that. Today, I poured 1000 3/8 oz casting jigs in a little over 5 hours.

Why don't I do like most places and have another company pour them for me? It's because I can control the quality by touching each hook, getting each head ready to paint, painting them, and curing them in an oven.

The companies that outsource the labor, never touch a hook, and charge you $5.99 per jig are ripping you off. I guarantee you that they don't catch fish any better than the smaller companies' products. There are lots of small lure making companies who still choose pride over profit.

We won't be taking jigs, but there will be several of these smaller jig companies bringing their selections to Alabama's Ultimate Fishing Expo. Make plans to attend and you might even win a new Ranger boat!
