Be safe out there! Usually the yellow jackets stop swarming me when I get 10-15 ft away from the nest, but when the nests start to get as big as they do this time of year, they swarmed me 25 yards from the nest.

Yellow jackets, wasps, and hornets nests are getting more populated by the day. This is a bald faced hornets nest and a bald faced hornet has emerged from each of those empty holes. All of the cells with the white cap are larvae that are cocooned, which will emerge as an adult bald faced hornet.
When you treat a nest like this, you not only have to worry about the hornets that are in the nest but also the hornets that are returning to the nest. A lot of times you won't see them until it's too late. So please call Jim with Abba Complete Pest Control at 763-477-1838 or another pest control professional to take care of this for you. Bee safe!
