All of our veggie plants found their forever gardens this spring, and our plant sale is officially over! 🌱

Thank you to everyone who supported us and trusted us enough to include our transplants in your veggie gardens this season. We were especially overwhelmed with gratitude this year as this was by far our fastest sale yet! 🥹

We’ve truly loved the countless conversations about gardening, growing food, and sharing this little passion of ours with you all. And if you had the chance to peek into our growing space or get a tour, it was such a joy having you here!

Our organically homegrown veggie plant sale is winding down and WOW… you all showed up in the best way! 🥹 So many plants have officially found their forever gardens and we are beyond grateful for every single one of you! 💚

We still have a smaller selection of veggie plants available — especially for the spice lovers out there! 🌶️🔥 We’ve got some super hot pepper plants still looking for homes and they are not for the weak 😅

Last Wednesday we set aside an afternoon to learn all about composting! 💚🌎💚

We hosted our fifth annual field trip and taught the children (and their adults) about composting! This, again, was a group of 3rd and 4th graders from the Indian Prairie Elementary School’s Environmental Club - a wonderful group of children lead by some amazing teachers and staff! The club focuses on teaching children ways to respect our home 🌎 and implementing ways to leave it better than they found it. 💚

Seeing the children engaged, full of wonderful ideas, asking questions and of course playing in some “dirt” filled my heart with so much joy as it does every year! 💚
*note to self: next time don’t reduce compost to “worm poop” and stick to more elaborate explanation - you all can guess why 🤣

Our weekend project was to harvest the ready (2 year old) compost and move anything that wasn’t completely broken down into last year’s bin. The empty bin is where we will begin collecting our scraps until next spring and repeat the process again so that we can continue supplementing our garden soil and grow more food! 😋

PS. With everything we do and grow in our garden, composting is by far my favorite part of the entire operation! To me, it’s downright magical 💫 and is the major reason why between composting, reducing, reusing, upcycling and recycling, on average, we only create one garbage bag of trash per week. 🌎

It’s been a beautifully full week! 🥰 Unlike any other first week of our plant sale so far! Y’all are seriously top tier! 🥇
It brought us so much joy to see so many of your familiar faces and so many new ones, too! Catching up, talking gardening, sharing tips… and the laughs… some of you are pure entertainment and our hearts are beyond full! 💚

We still have a small amount of cherry tomatoes left and would like to offer them at no charge to anyone who has purchased form us this season. If any of your seedlings got damaged in the recent winds or you found room to plant more, stop by this weekend and grab a plant on us. If you haven’t purchased from us this season, they’re all now $2 each.
