We are excited to publish a new story by Sofia Stojic of Pancevo, Serbia. bit.ly/SStojicLine

Stojic was born and grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where she studied Linguistics and German Studies at Monash University . During her post-bachelor studies, she researched the role of language in the construction of Serbian identity in diaspora families in an attempt to understand why many second and third-generation Serbian immigrants retain a strong sense of identity despite a lack of fluency in their ancestors' native tongue. She visited Serbia in the summer of 2022 with her parents and brother and three days later, cancelled her return flight.
