Exciting news to share

I know we have a lot of dogs on a waitlist. This pup is local & is looking for a new home. I trust that one of you will be interested and be willing to put in the time and training.

Edit: the dog is being rehomed because it is trying to herd their toddler. This is something that is easily fixable with training.

We already knew Xena was perfect…but health tests hold a little more weight ☺️

Hi everyone! We are very open about our health testing we do at Savic German Shepherds. Today we wanted to highlight Max. I know a lot of people think he is a mixed breed based off his genetic longcoat.

Max tested perfect in every health category and doesn’t even have any predispositions to any health issues.

We often get asked why we don’t have more litters. (And my often I mean daily messages! ♥️) The answer is simple: we wait until the dogs are two years of age, can be completely health tested by OFA & DNA testing, & we follow AKC guidelines.

With that being said all pups pictured have a clean bill of health. The 3 females in these pictures are awaiting lab results to see if they are pregnant. We are very excited and a little overwhelmed. Science is amazing.

The phenomenon of females having their periods align is no joke guys 😂😂😂. We will keep you updated when we have 100% confirmation. Litters will be as follows:

Max & Xena: AKC full registration (GSD)
Max & ZZ: Pet Litter (GSD)
Chief & Lady: UKC full registration (sarplaninac)

The sarplaninac are NOT recognized by AKC because there are not enough dogs in the United States yet to have a sample size. UKC is the “AKC of Europe.” Older than the AKC.
