Advent begins with an invitation to wake up to hope.

Romans 13:11–14 reminds us that we don’t stay awake out of fear, but because the Holy One is already at work in the world. Hope helps us see the world honestly—its pain, its possibility—and strengthens us to join in what the Divine is doing with courage and compassion.

This week’s invitation: Stay awake to hope.

The youth put together 100 blessing bags to hand out at Ms. Helen's soup kitchen this morning. It was a great way to start off their Thanksgiving break out in the community serving others.
