Active Shooter/Killer Response Training 📅 Date/Time: September 2, 2025, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 📍 Location: 2512 Warm Springs Rd 🎓 Education Credit Hours: 3 In this safety training course, students will: Identify Early Warning Signs: Recognize potential indicators of an Active Shooter/Killer incident before it occurs. Understand Response Strategies: Learn and apply the tenets of the acronym Go, Barricade, Fight to effectively respond during an incident. Differentiate Safety Concepts: Distinguish between cover (protection from bullets) and concealment (hiding from view). Personal Safety Planning: Develop a personalized action plan for responding to an Active Shooter/Killer situation. Office Space Defense Design: Create and sketch a plan to enhance personal safety within their specific office environment.

Mom and Dad had passed, my divorce was finalized, and I was sitting alone at Taser Headquarters located in Scottsdale, AZ. I was grateful to be chosen for special training at HQ but still felt very alone on my birthday, until Sara Morrell, a Taser Employee and long time friend, sat with me and surprised me by saying "Hey, it's your birthday, right?" (With my parents gone and family disbanded, I thought nobody knew or cared.) Then Sara gave me the only birthday card I received that year, with her kind handwritten words inside. (I still have it today.) I was reminded of the phrase "So shines a good deed in a weary world." Today I saw a post about my dear friend Sara, now bedridden, needing special medical treatment available in Michigan. Sara is asking for share-or-prayer, and she is grateful for all. I love this clip! It demonstrates exactly what my company is trying to do, empower good people to prevent them from being victims. Predators pick their prey based on perceived weakness. Many of us are looked at as being weak because we are nice, or well dressed, or small in stature. However, if you have training to prepare yourself, and are equipped and aware of your surroundings, you can prevent being a statistic. Additionally, if you are as confident as the person in this video, you can be a part of the bad guys "Accelerated Rehabilitation."

Messing around with the wrong person is always a bad idea.
