The District 5 seat has long been filled by Abigail Coggin, and with her having announced that she will not be running in 2026, Newton County is need of the right person to follow in her footsteps. In the meantime, please Like, Follow, and Share.

🎨🎭🎶 BIG news for Georgia students and fine arts education!
Yesterday, Governor Kemp signed SB 556 into law, expanding HOPE Scholarship rigor recognition to include qualifying advanced fine arts coursework in dance, music, theatre, and visual art.
This legislation supports students pursuing rigorous fine arts pathways while strengthening connections to Georgia’s growing creative industries. Thank you to the educators whose feedback helped inspire this effort and to our state leaders for supporting opportunities that prepare students for life.
“This is a game changer for Georgia’s students!” — GMEA President Andy Esserwein

D. Alan Fowler had an incredibly successful evening as one of the guest speakers at the Newton County Republican Party meeting.
Alan had the opportunity to speak with Newton County residents, listen to their concerns, and thoughtfully answer their questions, once again showing the community that he is the right man to represent District 5 on the Newton County School Board.
Before the meeting, Alan’s evening began at the Eastside High School football stadium ribbon-cutting ceremony, where he was honored to conduct The Pride of Eastside Marching Band as they performed the Eastside High School alma mater.
From supporting our schools to engaging with our community, Alan continues to demonstrate the leadership, heart, and dedication District 5 deserves.
