Hello DAY 3 of Tennessee FFA Forestry Camp! Our Students have learned so much from the wonderful forestry staff here with us this week!

Today's Lessons Consist of:
✨️Forest Technology
✨️Urban Forestry
✨️Aquatics and Water Works
✨️Fire and Safety

We will close out the day with the 75th Tennessee FFA Foresty Camp Celebration!

There will be great food, foresty conclave competitions and the biggest bonfire you have ever seen 🔥🌳

We have made it to DAY TWO of the 75th Annual TN FFA Forestry Camp!

Thanks to the rain we had the past few days, the Falls were Flowing very well🥳

Today we are going to learn about:

🍁Timber Harvesting
🌳Sawmills
🌵Agricultural Crime
🍁Forest Measurments

We are having a wonderful time in the wild this week and are enjoying the excitement!

We were up with the Whippoorwills this morning ready to get the day started!

Today we will be learning about

🌳Dendrology
🌳Wildlife Concepts
🌳Forest Health
🌳Forest Uses

Then we will end the day with a park tour of Fall Creek Falls 🏞

Fishing Friday was a perfect finish for a fantastic Down on the Farm Camp week! A little rain did not stop the fun - in fact, the kids seemed to enjoy it! They caught lots of fish, shared lots of laughs, and devoured some delicious watermelon and snacks. We appreciate Holli Turner Ray and Eric Ray for providing the pond! Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Robinson donated our popsicles and lined up Mr. Jake Yoes with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, who brought some animal pelts and shared with us about the wildlife in our area! We appreciate him taking the time to do that!

We want to give a HUGE thanks to everyone who has helped out by volunteering time and resources to make this week possible! We also appreciate all of the parents for signing their campers up for a week of fun! It’s a tiring week to host (see the last pic 😂😂), but seeing these kids light up when they get to spend time outdoors is ALWAYS worth it! Plus, it invests back in our local students at Covington FFA and Covington High Chargers. Thank you!!!

Day 3 was a huge success with the Tipton County Community Garden , Water Fun at Level 5 Covington High Chargers , and tractor ride! Looking forward to finishing the week with the best campers!
