my song, psalm 27 has been out for one whole year. releasing my music was something that i’ve wanted to do for a real long time. i would have never thought that would be the first song i would put out into the world. but it just kinda happened. now it’s been listened to a whole bunch of times. i hope it’s encouraged you. i hope it’s been a reminder that He will never leave you nor forsake you. i hope it’s brought you closer to Him in some way. or at the very least, i hope you’ve enjoyed listening to it.

in 2015, i moved to spokane, washington to attend a bible college. i desperately wanted to know who God was and know him like a friend. i also desperately longed for freedom from my sin and bo***ge. i took theology classes, tried my best to learn greek, and made a lot of new friends. but despite learning a lot of things about God, i’m not sure i knew Him any better..

so there i remained.. stuck between a desire to “be holy as He is holy” and feeling evil “right there with me” every step.

then one day a friend read me paul’s words, “even when we’re faithless, he remains faithful.” and since then, those seven words have stayed with me. i wrote this song in a time where i was at the end of myself and at the beginning of starting to believe that His grace is sufficient. Jesus delights to show mercy and if we follow Him, nothing can separate us from Him and his love.
