Today we pause to honor Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas finally received word of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

At OneQuest Health, we remain committed to care that is equitable and accessible to everyone. Health equity and human dignity are not separate values. They are the same value.

Wishing a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth to all who celebrate. 🖤❤️💚

The severe storms rolled through Northern Kentucky and knocked out power at BOTH of our outpatient locations.

Here's what happened next: our team showed up anyway.

They pivoted to telehealth, moved what needed to be moved, and made sure every single client who needed care could access it. No directive needed. No scramble. Just people who are genuinely called to this work, doing exactly what the moment required.

Mental illness doesn't take a day off because the lights go out. And neither does this team.

That's what mission looks like in real life. Not when conditions are perfect, but especially when they aren't. The lights going out just proved what we already knew about our team!

Proud doesn't begin to cover it.

OneQuest Health has officially announced the launch of its newest division, OneQuest Health Wellness, alongside an innovative Employee Assistance Program (EAP) test pilot program in partnership with SHP. The initiative marks a shift from traditional, reactive corporate care to a proactive model centered on whole-person health and accessible clinical partnerships.

While average corporate EAPs face historically low utilization rates of just 5% to 10%, OneQuest Health Wellness is designed to reduce barriers to care. By introducing tailored corporate solutions, on-site wellness components, and preventative programming, the division aims to reshape how businesses support workforce mental health.

The launch of OneQuest Health Wellness expands the organization’s comprehensive health framework. It introduces a suite of services that includes traditional outpatient therapy, as well as specialized life coaching and customized business-level EAPs.

“With our wellness practice, we see the opportunity to open OneQuest Health’s doors to the larger community and help address the care shortage in Greater Cincinnati and Kentucky,” said Crystal Leugers, LISW, LCSW, LCADC, Chief Programming Officer.

SHP Architecture joins the pilot with an already strong internal wellness culture. The firm currently provides its employees and their families with a corporate call app subscription, financial workshops, in-office massage therapy, and informal lunchtime forums aimed at destigmatizing mental health.

For SHP leadership, the partnership with OneQuest Health Wellness addresses a gap in traditional corporate healthcare structures. Company leader Jeffrey Sackenheim pointed out that an advantage of this new EAP model is the direct, one-to-one relationship established between each employee and a clinician.

In standard corporate assistance programs, employees rarely control who they reach out to for psychological support. The OneQuest Health Wellness model returns agency to the individual, matching workers directly with dedicated professionals.

Throughout the pilot timeline, the program’s usage and clinical efficiency will be rigorously evaluated. By focusing on early intervention, minor behavioral and mental health stressors can be identified and treated long before progressing into operational or personal disruptions.

For OneQuest Health, the pilot is a strategic opportunity to study how modern behavioral health services can be custom-tailored to organizations of varying scale. SHP Architecture has 110 employees in total, with 80 employees operating locally. Data gathered during the test period will clarify which features resonate most with mid-sized workforces, enabling OneQuest Health Wellness to adapt the framework for future corporate partners. This commercial integration helps ensure long-term financial sustainability, allowing OneQuest Health to continuously expand care to vulnerable and underinsured populations.

OneQuest Health welcomed the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights (KCHR) to its main campus in Covington on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as commissioners from across the Commonwealth gathered for the agency's monthly meeting. The Commission's meetings sometimes rotate among major cities throughout Kentucky, and this month they convened in Northern Kentucky at the headquarters of one of the region's largest integrated behavioral and primary care providers.

The visit carries added significance for the host organization. OneQuest Health CEO Rick W. Wurth was appointed by Governor Andy Beshear in 2021 to serve as one of eleven state commissioners on the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, representing the Commonwealth's Sixth District on a panel charged with safeguarding the civil rights of every Kentuckian.

"It is an honor to welcome the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights to our campus, and a privilege to serve alongside fellow commissioners who are devoted to equal opportunity and equal dignity for every person in the Commonwealth," said Rick W. Wurth, CEO of OneQuest Health. "The work of the Commission and the work of OneQuest Health spring from the same conviction — that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and to have access to the care and opportunity they need to thrive. Culturally competent care isn't an initiative for us; it's the foundation of how we serve our clients and their families every day."

By bringing commissioners together in Northern Kentucky, the June meeting offers an opportunity to highlight both the Commission's statewide mission and the role of community providers like OneQuest Health in advancing equity at the local level.

10 years. 50,000 treatment services. One extraordinary architect.

Not every building is made of steel and glass. Some are built from courage, conviction, and an unwavering belief that mental health is everybody's business.

On June 30, after 10 years of dedicated service on the OneQuest Health Board, Jeffrey Sackenheim concludes his tenure as Board President — and we simply cannot let this moment pass without saying thank you.

When Jeffrey joined our board a decade ago, OneQuest looked completely different. What he helped build since then is nothing short of remarkable:
🏗️ A bold rebrand that grew a regional children's behavioral health organization into a full-scale, integrated health system serving people of all ages
👥 A doubling of our clinical staff
💰 A $26 million capital campaign to elevate every level of care
📍 Expansion into Louisville — because Jeffrey believed where you live should never determine the quality of care you receive
🤝 OneQuest's first Employee Assistance Program, built in partnership with SHP — proving that mental health support belongs in every workplace

In FY 2026, OneQuest Health is on track to deliver 50,000 treatment services. That number has Jeffrey Sackenheim's fingerprints all over it.

But what makes Jeffrey truly exceptional isn't strategy — it's heart. ❤️ He shared his own family's experience with mental health services openly and without hesitation, turning stigma into conversation and private struggle into community priority. He didn't just lead a board. He showed up as a human being first.

Our CEO, Rick Wurth, said it best:
"Jeffrey Sackenheim is a man on a mission. He understands a basic premise that I believe our founder, Amos Shinkle — a savvy business entrepreneur in the 1800s — understood: one can excel in business and make the world a better place for everyone simultaneously. OneQuest Health is a better healthcare organization precisely because Jeffrey Sackenheim has devoted ten years of his life to helping our clients and families."

Jeffrey — you came in as an architect. You leave as something far greater. A builder of hope. A foundation strong enough to carry this mission for the next 150 years.
We are endlessly grateful. We cannot wait to see what you build next. 👏

🌈 June is Pride Month — and for OneQuest Health, that's not a calendar note. It's a reflection of who we are.

Years ago, OneQuest Health became the first organization in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to partner with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation in adopting All Children–All Families — a framework built to ensure that LGBTQ youth and families receive culturally competent care in a safe, supportive treatment environment.

That wasn't a trend. That was a conviction.

Our board and our associates are committed to building a community where every person is safe — and where the populations who carry the heaviest risk factors find the clearest path to mental health care. Not a harder one.

👣We're marching in the Northern Kentucky Pride Parade on Sunday, June 7th, and we want you right there with us. The parade kicks off at W. Pike St. and winds into the heart of MainStrasse Village. Good people, great energy, and honestly the most fun you'll have getting your steps in all week.

🚶🏾‍♀️Here's how to join us: Walk with our team — volunteers will get an exclusive OneQuest t-shirt!

👋👋🏾Come say hi, meet our team, and grab some resources. We'd love to see familiar faces.

🏳️‍🌈At OneQuest, y'all means all — and we mean every single word of that. Pride isn't a marketing moment for us. It's a reflection of who we are, who we serve, and the kind of care we believe every person deserves.

📣Come celebrate with us. Comment or DM 👇us to sign up!

Behind every success story at OneQuest Health is a dedicated healer like Bethany. As part of our Outpatient team, she is helping children and youth build the "mental fitness" they need to thrive beyond our campus walls.

We believe healthcare should be proactive, not just reactive. By providing kids with the tools to handle life’s challenges early on, we are building a healthier, more resilient future for all of Kentucky.

Join us in celebrating the incredible team making this mission possible every day!

True systemic change doesn't happen in a vacuum—it takes a community of leaders willing to build a bigger table.

Our CEO, Rick Wurth, recently joined Debbie Gingrich (Best Point Education & Behavioral Health) and Jill Miller (bi3 Fund) for a powerful roundtable discussion on the future of regional healthcare.

As Rick shared during the panel:
"We've got to be in the work of transforming these systems if we're really going to get to where we want to be, and that is moving upstream to a proactive modality."

At OneQuest Health, moving upstream is the heartbeat of our mission. We are so grateful to stand alongside forward-thinking partners who share this exact vision—shifting the paradigm from reactive crisis to sustainable, empathy-driven wellness. Together, we are clearing the path. 💙
