The Ludlow Derby is the annual prestigious event held at Covington Turners featuring top thoroughbreds from the sewers of Ludlow, KY.
It is unofficially the largest and most entertaining event in Northern Kentucky that is also for a great cause. It's the 43rd Annual Running of the Rats at Historic Covington Turners Friday, May 6th from 6pm - Midnight. Come on down if you like to drink beer and act like a complete ass without any form of judgment. All are encouraged to attend unless you're easily offended of course. Then you migh

It’s finally here, sports fans! The day you’ve been longing for for 364 days. And the event every Ludlow River Rat dreams of winning from the second it exits its mother’s womb. Because for a Ludlow River Rat, there’s nothing more glorious than sniffing out that cheese in record time, followed by mooning the Queen of England from the Winner’s Circle.
This year’s early favorite is #8, MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE SH*****SE who currently stands at 3-1, followed closely by #10, THE MASS HAS ENDED, GO ‘N’ P*E.
So c’mon down, watch hot Rats and enjoy a cold beer. Just remember to drink responsibly! Don’t worry about gambling responsibly because we’re kinda like Joel Osteen:

However, you can rest assured we won’t be spending it on a private jet. It’ll be going towards Turners’ legendary youth basketball program.

The early favorite is #4, J.D VANCE WEARS PINK UNDERPANTS. J.D’s odds currently stand at 2-1, the second favorite is #5, FOXWORTHY MIGHT JUST BE A GAY REDNECK at 4-1.

Only 9 days till the most deranged two minutes in sports by the most deranged two minds in Kentucky, Barry and Mary Dyas. Yes folks, the 47th running of the Ludlow Derby takes place Friday, May 1st at Covington Turners. Doors open at 6:00, post time for the first race is 7:00. Admission is only $10, which is a s**tload cheaper (and a s**tload more fun) than that goofy derby they hold in Louisville. Hope to see you there. Feel free to bring a friend… and your tax return.
