The scammers got scammed this time!

This week, the TPSO teamed up with a Texas Sheriff's Office to shut down a gold scammer targeting elderly victims with a taste of his own medicine.

The suspect showed up to collect a gold deposit, but ended up only dropping a 💩brown💩 one of his own when he was surrounded by TPSO and our friends at the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office 🤝

March 26, 2026, City of Hammond, LA – The Hammond Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating a missing person, William Blake Capling, 31 years old of Hammond.
Capling was last seen on February 15, 2026 at approximately 12:00 pm in the Natchez Street area. He was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and dark pants. He is approximately 5'11 and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
If anyone has any information on Capling whereabouts, please contact the Hammond Police Department at 985-277-5701. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-554-5245 (JAIL), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward.

Be On The Lookout: Runaway Juvenile from Ponchatoula

PONCHATOULA (March 17, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance with locating a runaway juvenile.

Alyssa Matecun, 17, was last seen on Beauregard Street in Ponchatoula on Sunday morning, March 15. It is possible she could be in or near Sulphur, Louisiana, with relatives who are unaware she has run away.

Alyssa is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 5'3" and weighing 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a white hoodie.

Sheriff Gerald Sticker asks anyone with information regarding Alyssa’s whereabouts to call 911 if in Tangipahoa Parish; if outside of the parish, please contact our Juvenile Division at 985-902-2031.
