"This was our granddaughter's second sit of the Oklahoma youth season. We were covered up in deer from the time we got in the blind that evening. There were several deer in the food plot, when a really really nice buck came in bumping does. He stopped at 25 yards and Emi shot low grazing the buck. He didn’t know what happened and kept chasing, but never offer another shot before running a doe down into the timber out of sight.

Right at last light, a huge bodied buck came in and literally thrashed a scrape tree I set up and this buck stopped in nearly the same place the first buck did. But Emi was ready this time and put one in the 10 ring. Her buck only went about 20 yards before piling up just out of the food plot. The bucks dressed weight was 170.5 lbs. That’s a big buck in our neck of the woods where there is no ag fields. We were blessed beyond measure and she can’t wait to go this year!

We were covered up that morning and he ended up taking that nice buck and a very nice doe. My brother and I are blessed beyond measure to still be able to share the blind with him.
