Wondering if your homeowners insurance will cover preventative tree removal? The answer is generally no. Insurance providers typically view tree removal as routine maintenance, similar to mowing the lawn. This means they only cover costs after damage occurs, leaving homeowners responsible for identifying and addressing potential risks before they escalate.

Understanding this can help you make informed decisions about tree care. While insurance may cover tree removal after a storm or if it causes damage, waiting for issues to arise can lead to much higher expenses. Emergency removal can be two to three times more costly than planned services.

Recognizing warning signs, like dead branches or leaning trees, is crucial for proactive care. Regular assessments by certified arborists can save you money and protect your property.

Don’t wait for problems to become emergencies. Contact ArborWorks at 985-497-2494 for a comprehensive property assessment and develop a tree care plan that fits your needs.
